I'm Three!

Tinkerbell's 3 this month.

"I can't wait to eat it!" She was surprised to see the cake when I called her to come to the table and immediately checked out the cake.

"I can't reach it..."

"How long do I have to wait?"

"What's happening? I'm too short to see anything."

Up the sofa they went for picture taking! That's Tinkerbell's present.

The forever greedy Rubie had to check it out.

Tinkerbell: "I can't look! Will she eat my cake?"

Tinkerbell:"Phew she hasn't got to my cake."

One more sniff...before we get to eat it.

Tinkerbell eating her share of the cake.

Rubie polished hers in one gulp.

Tiffany looking disappointed 'cos Rubie ate 3/4 of her cake. Rubie was too fast and snatched it off her plate.

"I'm satisfied."

Tiffany watching Tinkerbell eat the left over crumbs.

My new toy!

Enjoying life.

"Next time please get me a bigger cake!"

Beds

This is Tiffany's favourite bed.

Rubie testing out the bed.

"Ya ya I know it's too small for me but can't I just try it out?"

Tiffany snoozing during one of the afternoons.

"Me...I don't need no beds, I love my couch!"
(Actually it's cos Rubie's too fat to jump up the chair anymore, and Tiffany's too short to jump up.)

Dog Friendly Switzerland

This is a really belated post of the dogs I saw in Switzerland during my trip in January. It's better late than never right!?

We went to Zermatt and there was this pretty bird.

Was so excited to see a St Bernard on top of the mountain. It was there to have photos taken with people.

Later on we went to see the Matterhorn and we just had to have our photos taken with these lovely giants. There were no obligations to buy the photos if it weren't nice, so we took the chance! We ended up buying 2 of the photos out of the 4 he took of us.

They look so sweet together.

We were on the cable car when a dog, who looked like she has been taking cable cars all her life, walked in. Her owner didn't even need to put her on leash.

Later on she found a small spot and jumped up onto the seat. A lady sitting there had to get up to let it sit.

In no time she was asleep. I think she had a long day in the snow.

A bit disappointed with the blur photo. This dog was waiting in the supermarket for its owner.

This was in Lucerne.

It was playing with a stick and running to catch it whenever its owner threw the stick.

Saw this photo in an advertisement for family portraits. I think this is really cool!

Then we headed to Lausanne

Love this cute dog! It really looks like a cuddly bear.

Being parked outside the shop.

In Bern, this dog was waiting outside the shop.

Then another owner parked his dog near the black dog. After awhile it realised it doesn't like the black dog and started barking very loud and really long too! Guess its owner never heard its cries!

Our last day in Switzerland, we went to Kleine Scheidegg.

Was pleasantly surprised to see more lovely dogs.

This one looked like it went for trekking.

I'm amazed how dogs can stand the cold. Tiffany and Tinkerbell start to shiver when they're wet, I don't know if they can ever survive cold weather. Besides, they love to sun tan. Maybe Rubie will have no problem cos she loves to eat and that would keep her warm!:D

How we spent our Chinese New Year

Basically trying to amuse guests. Tinkerbell showing off her play dead trick.

Playing balls with guests. This went on for an hour!

Rubie spent her time going from guest to guest begging for food.

Tinkerbell was really happy as you can see.

Rubie and Tiffany waiting for food to drop.

Tinkerbell got to visit grandpa. Here's her getting a cashew nut.

It made her day by meeting a cat!

Too bad the cat looked like it would claw her anytime. We don't want to be visiting a vet during CNY!

It's all in a day's play! Goodnight!

Maggie The Mathematic Dog

This dog is just so amazing! I can't believe how smart a dog can be.

I'm A Cat!

I found this at Ikea the other day and thought that it really suited Tinkerbell since she gets excited over cats. I couldn't stop laughing when I put it on her. And she obviously had no idea what she was wearing.

At least she allowed me to take some photos.

Bus tickets for dogs in Switzerland?

This is totally unheard of in Singapore! Right here, walking a dog along a busy street is already quite difficult, let alone having a dog on a bus or MRT. It would be a pleasant surprise if dogs could go on buses. I actually did take Tiffany on the bus many years ago. I put her in a bag and zipped it up when I went up the bus. I sat right behind and opened the zip to let her breath. Thank goodness she was quiet all the way. When it was time to get off, she didn't really want to be zipped up so I threw a towel over her head and walk down the bus haha.. That was the one and only time and never again!

Hubby was again on business trip to Switzerland and he saw this!

Tickets to buy for human and dog.

A close up.

Manila Trip

I just came back from Manila and I saw lots of stray dogs. Some living the carefree life and some just starving. That saddened me.

Saw this sign near a hot dog shop. Just thought it was weird.

This dog was just along the pavement and relaxing.

The dog who slept all the way.

This dog was just enjoying the plants and flowers.

I went to have lunch and came back, it was still sleeping.

The fake dog I met!:P

Tiffany was Sick

Last week Tiffany was in bad shape. She did not eat for 2-3 days and we got so worried. Her stomach was grumbling and she still refused to eat. We rushed to the vet on the 3rd day and she was given an injection and 3 bottles of medication! The vet told us to force feed her with blended food. We didn't have time to do all that when we came back from the vet and gave her milk that can be substituted for meals. So we pumped in some milk and her stomach seemed to improved and stopped shivering. We let her rest for the night.

It all started with her leg. I think she sprained it. She would scream even when we walked near her. She wanted to let us know not to touch her. From then on her appetite went downhill. Luckily after the force feeding, the next day she was actually starting to eat. She ate my breakfast and that was great! By dinner, she was back to normal:D

That was the 1st time Tiffany got sick. Hope this will never happen again.
