Whining Dog?

Over the past week, somehow Tinkerbell has learnt to whine. I really don't know what she's whining about.

Maybe it's because Tiffany came to stay overnight last weekend and Tiffany whines a lot to get my attention.

Happy Birthday Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell is 1 yr old.

The party goers...

These hats didn't last long on their heads. At least I managed to take a shot before the took it off.

Tinkerbell getting excited.

Rubie the greedy one.

See the tongue sticking out? So cute!

Waiting to eat the cake.

Finally we get to eat the cake but what a mess Tinkerbell has made on the chair!

Tiffany with her tongue out too!

Waiting for more cake.

That was it! The party lasted only about 15 mins and the cake was gone in seconds! Next time I will be more organised:P

Eight Below

This story was just so heart breaking. I didn't expect it to be so sad. Well to me it was, I was quite affected by the show even though the ending was more or less a happy one. The dogs were left out in the antartica for over 6 mths! Two died and that made me even sadder. The show did leave quite an impression. The dogs were so smart. They knew how to work together and find food for their group. I even wonder if Rubie, Tiffany or Tinkerbell could even find food for themselves. These huskies were amazing and smart. What I'm most amazed was that they could stay out in the cold for so long. There was no shelter for them and they had to survive on their own for so long. After a seemingly long time for them to get back to the dogs, it felt good to see that most of the dogs survived. Gerry Shepherd, who was the owner of the dogs, was heart broken that he could not get to his dogs. I felt myself in his shoes. If I could not get to my dogs, I would be so sad. I should stop thinking too much. I even thought of the dogs facial expressions just before I went to sleep last night!

A rare photo of all 3 dogs together without using food

It's hard to get all 3 of them together. I tried to get them to pose earlier on but it didn't work when Tinkerbell thought we were playing catching and started running away. Then suddenly all of them were just sitting around and I pushed them closer to each other.

Fuming Mad

Just before I was preparing to go out for dinner, I found my bed soaked with urine. I screamed Tinkerbell's name and as expected she went and hid under the sofa. She really knew she did wrong and was hiding under for one whole hour. Even making her dinner did not entice her out. Ringing the bell on her collar did not help ( she wears the collar only when she goes out). So I decided to open the main door and she came running out and straight into her doggie bag thinking she was going out. I put her in the kitchen whenever we go out. So into the kitchen she went.

When we came home from dinner, hubby took her to the room and scolded her for soaking the bed. She is not even allowed to go on the bed. I guess she jumped up while I was not looking. As usual, she showed her teeth and all but was shivering from the scoldings.

So I spent the whole night washing and drying my feather blanket and bedsheets. Thank goodness I had a mattress protector.

Tinker has been hiding under the sofa since the scoldings. She did come out for a second to see what I was doing but I scolded her for being naughty and she zoomed straight under the sofa again.

A Jealous Tinkerbell

So last sunday I decided to bring Tiffany home as Tiffany has always been wanting to go home with me. Rubie and Tiffany stays with my parents and Tinkerbell with me. Previously, Tiffany has been following me home fortnightly but ever since Tinkerbell came along, Tiffany never got a good night's sleep. Tiffany would get bullied and she could never have peace. So after months of not bringing Tiffany home, I thought it was time Tiffany stayed over.

Unfortunately, just a few hours at my place, I realised Tiffany could not walk anywhere she wanted. Every step was guarded by Tinkerbell and usually the dog kibbles Tinkerbell hated, she was now eating it all up just so that Tiffany can't have any.

I brought out Tiffany's bed but Tinkerbell jumped right into it and guarded it like real jealous gal. Hubby tried to let Tinkerbell choose and then let Tiffany have the other bed but Tinkerbell dashed right into the bed before Tiffany could. In the end, Tiffany could have none of the beds!

Poor Tiffany. In the end, I had to let Tiffany go back to where she would have peace. I didn't want her to have a horrible day with the rascal.

Tinkerbell is fine when she stays over at my parents'. I guess she's just not used to sharing her stuff at home.
