Silky Terrier

1st day of Chinese New Year and dogs go visiting too! It's the Year of the Dog, so it does make sense to bring them along for visits.

I saw one in the car! If you look carefully, you can see the terrier. I didn't manage to get the full body but it was wearing chinese new year clothes.

Preparing for Chinese New Year

As we were packing the goodies for Chinese New Year, the dogs had to check out the food and make sure it's good enough to be eaten:P

Rubie, the most greedy one staring at the goodies hoping we'll open up one for her.

She even had to check out the oranges.

Doggie Strollers?

These are so cool! A few months ago I was wishing I had wheels on Tinkerbell's doggie bag as she was getting heavier. What do you know? These strollers are being sold now in Singapore at Petpy Love.

As much as I love these strollers, they're a wee bit too expensive for me as I don't bring Tinkerbell out for walks like that. She only gets carried from the car to the house, and all other times she loves to run. I think Tiffany would love it as she prefers to be carried most times:P

My Bad Habits

Tinkerbell is sometimes so spoilt that she just jumps onto the sofa and onto whoever's lap looks comfy.

This photo is a little blur but I thought her face was too cute not to be put up here :P

The begging dogs

The only reason why they are looking so nicely in my direction is because I had a piece of chip in my hands.

Tiffany goes, "pretty pretty please, can I have some?"

Welcome Home Brownie!

Brownie came down with an infection and had to be hospitalised. Now he's back and Tinkerbell gives him a big welcome hug (if she could have).

Happy

Happy! Yes, that's the name of this Wired-haired Jack Russell I met over the weekend.

Happy's so cute and friendly. He's about 1 1/2 yrs old. I had fun playing with him and giving him nice pats. He's pretty obedient too. When I got home, Tinkerbell smelt my pants and was getting suspicious.

Watching the World Go By

This is Tinkerbell's past time. She watches people walking, cars and buses going by. Sometimes she even barks at them.

I guess she enjoys it as you'd catch her looking out of the window even at night.

Tinkerbell Playing Ball

Tinkerbell is an expert when it comes to catching balls. She's like a super goal keeper. When you about to kick the ball, she positions herself wherever the ball is. She is always ever ready to catch the ball even when she is half asleep. Playing ball with her is an everyday affair:D

You Can't Get My Food

Tiffany seems to say, "You can't eat my food, ha ha ha!"

This is the scene whenever Tiffany takes too long to eat her food. The shower cubicle seems to be the best place to keep the greedy ones out. Tinkerbell usually eats in the cubicle. That prevents Rubie from rushing to eat her food. After eating, Tinkerbell usually lets herself out by pushing the glass door. Smart dog!

Tinkerbell is getting very choosy with food. It has to be cooked food! I guess dogs do know what taste better.

Treetop Walk

So I said I didn't get to see any dogs. I saw Macaques yesterday. We went trekking through MacRitchie for 3 hours just to walk on the treetop walk. It was tiring and my legs were aching from it.

Baby macaques! They're so cute.

Helping to find ticks? Do they get ticks like dogs?

This one greeted us halfway up Jelutong Tower.

Another one at the tower. Funny thing is when you point your camera at them, they start to pose. I think they have many people pointing cameras at them that they become so used to it.
The New Year of 2006

Well unfortunately there are no dog photos to put up during the new year. All I saw were other animals!

On New Year's eve, we took a boat ride and went past Sentosa and stopping at St John Island. This was the sunset at the start of our journey. There really wasn't much to do since we started off at 7pm. We spent 2 hours at St John Island but we stayed on the boat and watch Bent if like Beckam on our portable dvd player. After that, we started heading towards Singapore river and waited for the fireworks which was spectacular!

These were the only animals I saw on St John Island. 2 cats meowing away. I think they were hungry but I had no food to give them.
